ENGINEER MICHAEL IDAMA – ED OPERATIONS
Michael O. Idama is a seasoned Construction Project Manager and Quality Management Leader with over two decades of experience delivering complex onshore and offshore oil and gas infrastructure projects across Nigeria. With more than 15 years at DeltaAfrik Engineering Limited (Worley Nigeria). He has provided strategic leadership on EPC and EPCM portfolios covering offshore platforms, subsea, swamp and onshore pipelines, flow stations and industrial processing facilities, storage systems, and brownfield and greenfield developments. He has served in senior leadership roles supporting project delivery for major international operators including ExxonMobil and Chevron Nigeria Limited, overseeing construction planning, quality governance, risk management, contractors’ performance, and full lifecycle project execution from design to commissioning and start-up. His expertise spans engineering, procurement, construction, and systems completion with a focus on regulatory compliance, industry standards, and HSSEQ requirements. Michael combines a solid technical foundation in Chemical Engineering and MSc in Engineering Management from the University of Benin with MSc in Project Management from the University of Liverpool, UK. He is ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, NACE, AWS-CWI, and API 510 Pressure Vessels certified. He is recognized for building high-performing teams, strengthening quality systems, reducing defect rates, and consistently delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
